This Victoria Park renovation once began as a cosy little cottage before blossoming into an established 4x2 two-storey home to support a growing family. Our design brief was to introduce a fresh, modern look throughout this dated property, turning it into a stylish, functional and spacious family home, whilst also maintaining its original character and design features.

The owners were very specific about wanting to add a second storey and new ground extension to blended seamlessly with their existing framework, but in a way where the additions looked as though they'd always been there. The project took 10 months and was completed on-site with our team conscious of maintaining minimal disruption throughout the course of the project.

We embraced the challenge of this character home renovation with a range of modern materials and design styles which maximised the internal living areas and incorporated new living areas for the whole family to enjoy. Some of these materials included Scyon Linea weatherboard, jarrah decking, facebrick and feature piers in the backyard entertaining area providing both structural support and style.

One of the stand out features of this renovation project was the front elevation which presented a fresh, modern front façade alongside original character elements which aligned with the surrounding style and architecture of the Victoria Park neighbourhood.
