This is an example of a Californian bungalow ground floor addition and renovations project, completed in Wembley (WA). Our design brief was to help the homeowners restore the front of their character home, with additional plans to renovate the interior with a modern new look.

Using specific top end materials such as burnished concrete, natural timber cladding and premium cabinetry, we were able to introduce a fresh design aesthetic that was both contemporary, yet still in line with the original character of the property. We worked with specific design orientations to make the most of the natural light that flowed effortlessly throughout the bungalow, using North facing windows and open-plan style living to reinvigorate this property into a vibrant, cosy and modern delight.

One of the stand out features of the property was the use of Lunawood cedar cladding around the exterior of the property, which maintained the unique style of the Californian bungalow, supported by the assistance of high-end landscaping in a fusion of new and old.
