We recently wrapped up a second-story addition and extensive downstairs renovation with Nexus Home Improvements, and we couldn't be happier with the end result. From start to finish, the entire process ran smoothly. The quality of the build and the final finish of the property are top-notch. A huge part of that came down to our site supervisor, Max. Max led a great build process, kept us properly looped in on status and expectations, and was always proactive and quick to sort things out whenever changes came up. If you're looking for a reliable builder that delivers quality work and communicates well, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Nexus. We needed more room in our house so investigated putting on a second storey. Our friends had recently renovated with a second storey pod through Nexus and had a great experience so decided to go with them. It was such a bonus not having to move out of our house at all, with the team only starting work on site 2 weeks before the pod instal, then completing the job within 12 weeks post instal! Everything went together super smoothly with fit and finish excellent. Any small issue that arose was dealt with quickly by the team and communication was excellent. The quote was competitive compared with a traditional build but the build was so much quicker. Many people have commented how it fits in nicely with the existing house, which was a high priority for us as it's an old character home. Steve was great help providing ideas and exploring different options. He quickly put together a concept sketch and sent it through, which gave us a great visual understanding of what the design could look like. Our supervisor Max delivered an amazing product ahead of schedule and budget. Communication was excellent, keeping us informed as to progress and the big milestones. Nexus had excellent reviews and we decided to use Nexus . The whole process has been great and we are extremely happy with the end result . Nexus advised that it would be 3 months from when the work began to handover and they delivered on there promise and all works were completed in under 3 months . The team were great to deal with at Nexus and a huge thanks to our supervisor Kristian who always went above and beyond for us . If we ever had a issue he was straight onto it and always was very professional in everything he did . It did not matter what time of the day or night it was if we had a issue he would always answer his phone without hesitation . Overall it was a great experience and we would not hesitate in recommending Nexus to anyone who wants to build or renovate . The design was spot on and the build itself was really impressive. The modular pod method exceeded all expectations. Once offsite construction commenced timelines were stuck to. Even with some wet weather and 2 kids, we lived in the house the entire time and found it pretty simple to go about our daily lives including working from home. Trades were respectful and Jeremy our site supervisor was fantastic. He was approachable, responsive and clearly took pride in the quality of the work. He kept things moving and was always willing to listen when we had questions and most importantly was proactive in addressing them. While we feel the huge amount of preparation and planning from our side was a key contributor, also want to call out the fact there were no "gotchas" on the cost or scope. A quality job was baked into the contract price, selection prices were fair and provisional sums came under. Looking back, we're happy we made the choice to go with Nexus.
